About ShoreView Real Estate

History

The family behind ShoreView has a very long history with San Diego; in fact, it is one of the oldest families in San Diego. Albert Jones moved from Wales to Mexico with his wife and two sons to further develop the railroad industry. In 1882, he moved his family to San Diego where he and his son, H.G. Jones, Sr. began investing in real estate. They had quite an eye for property as they bought up lots, buildings and houses in what are now the Gaslamp, Mission Beach, Bankers' Hill and eventually Point Loma. H.G. went on to found what is still the oldest existing company in the city.

The Idea

The idea for ShoreView started at a family meeting. As the older generation of the family returned to Southern California from Sun Valley, Idaho, they began looking for homes to be closer to their grandson (the fourth generation of the family to be born in San Diego). They became completely dissatisfied with the way many real estate professionals assisted clients. "Why can't a real estate broker be a trusted advisor?" became the motto. This thought led to a family meeting where it was decided there must be a better way. So, the great-great grandson and great-granddaughter of Albert Jones combined forces to create a company that eschews the sales pitches, the gimmicks, the hard-sells and just focuses on offering the best and most professional service possible.

Our Commitment
